Lindsay MacLeod – Pitstop Kiltie
Lindsay is Digital Data Director and Business Consultant and former member of the DLC or the ‘Dangerous Lunch Club’ – a group that helped raise money for the 2013 Kiltwalk. Lindsay is committed to the Kiltwalk because aim of raising funds for Scottish children’s charities has never wavered.
“My initial involvement with the Kiltwalk was as a walker to raise donations for the 2013 Edinburgh Kiltwalk. Every person I met during the walk was upbeat despite many having heartbreaking stories to tell. It made me appreciate the walk was so much more than a colourful carnival. Optimism is contagious. Kiltwalk’s concentrated focus of helping Scotland’s neediest wee citizens was, and remains, irresistible.
The call for volunteers in 2014 was an opportunity to offer my services on a broader base and to support the teams of Kiltwalk volunteers as well as the thousands of walkers. I spent both the 2014 and 2015 Edinburgh Kiltwalks on-site at Murrayfield and in 2015 had the pleasure of acting as Chieftain at Potarch – the finishing post of the Aberdeen Kiltwalk.
I’m proud to support and be associated with an organisation that ultimately improves so many lives.”
