The Biggest Ever Kiltwalk

A record breaking 13,000 people took on the Kiltwalk yesterday, raising an incredible £3.5 million for over 700 charities.

Glasgow 2019 was the BIGGEST EVER Kiltwalk!

13,000 Kiltwalk Heroes took part in the biggest EVER Royal Bank of Scotland Kiltwalk on Sunday April 28.

More than 6,500 Kiltwalkers gathered at Glasgow Green to step out on the 23-mile Mighty Stride, 3,700 set off from Clydebank on a 15 mile Big Stroll and 2,800 completed the six-mile Wee Wander.

Judy Murray, Jackie Bird and Sean Batty were among those who donned tartan to take part in the three walks, which all finished up in the Kiltwalk Village, where the Red Hot Chilli Pipers got the party started!

It became an extra memorable day for Emily Griffiths and her partner Kevin Storrie, when Kevin chose the Kiltwalk finish line as the perfect moment to pop the big question.

The happy couple.

The Kiltwalk Team wish Kevin and Emily all the very best!

Glasgow Kiltwalkers have raised £2.5m so far, but this will rise to £3.5m thanks to Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation, who top up all your Kiltwalk Kindness by 40%.

Sir Tom said: “Looking over Glasgow Green, which was a sea of tartan, I felt so proud to be part of Scotland’s fastest-growing charity event.”

If you missed out on the big day in Glasgow, don’t worry! The Kiltwalk’s year has only just begun and we will be walking across Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh.
