Slightly downhill on paved roads/pavement to the shore path
2.0 mile:
Flat, off-road shore path to Portgordon harbour

Flat, pavement round harbour and along shore front

Flat, old railway track grass and ballast

Flat, grassy, woodland track with bark and sandy surface
0.5 mile:
Flat, paved road through Spey Bay to WDCS, Tugnet

slightly rising paved road to sharp descending and ascending hairpin
3.5 mile:
predominantly flat narrow paved road then sharp descent to
Boat o’Brig Pit Stop
Don’t be put off by the elevation profile shown here – the track is well marked and the ascent relatively gentle round the slopes of Ben Aigan – but it goes on a wee bit!

Cross the A95 up set of steps onto farm path, rising slowly to farm track at Bridgeton farm
1.25 mile:
Flat narrow grassy path
1.25 mile:
Incline to peak of route over grassy path and then forestry track
1.25 mile:
Undulating forestry track
1.0 mile:
Descent on forestry track out of forestry section
Arndilly Pit-stop

Undulating paved road to Craigellachie.
Re-join prepared track.

Flat prepared track – old railway line.
Finish: The Mash Tun, Aberlour
