CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland)

Take on a Kiltwalk for CHAS and help them be there for families across Scotland who face the unthinkable reality that their child will die before them.

CHAS is a charity on a mission. They want to be there for every family who need them, wherever they are in Scotland. Families like the Thomson’s.

The Thomson’s are from rural Aberdeenshire and are supported by the CHAS at Home Aberdeen team. Five year old Hannah, who has Pfeiffer Syndrome, receives visits at home from Senior Staff Nurse, Muriel, who has helped the family to create many moments of joy.

Hannah’s mum, Judith, says: “CHAS allow me to have some time off when I can just enjoy being with the kids, spending time doing arts and crafts, and have some special family time. When I think of CHAS, I think of a friendly face and a well-deserved break.”

Every week in Scotland, three children die of a life shortening condition. Right now CHAS can only reach one of those families. They are determined to reach them all and with your support, they can. By taking on the Kiltwalk, you will help CHAS to provide vital care to families during some of their most challenging times.

So pull on your kilt, lace up your boots and take on one of the three distances to help CHAS Keep the Joy Alive for families all across Scotland.  Register today.
