Kiltwalk Experience: James and Kate’s Big Steps

Earlier this year thousands of walkers took life changing Big Steps in Glasgow, among them were James and Kate, fundraising for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland)

After months of training and fundraising, James Collins – Taylor and daughter Kate took on a 26 mile Mighty Stride in Glasgow in April of this year.

They raised the incredible sum of £5688 and completed their Stride in 9 hours and 45 minutes.

Kate’s memorable quote was the familiar: “Dad, are we there yet!”

James meanwhile had a more pressing concern:  “We didn’t even stop for a coffee!”

He was inspired by the services of SBH Scotland and his role with the charity as Corporate Ambassador.

James thanked all his donors from around the world, who he described as ‘Scots abroad’ who supported his Stride for a great cause.

James: “SBH Scotland need to raise £1 Million on an annual basis to keep providing their vital services to over 3,500 people across Scotland, I’m glad my efforts in the Kiltwalk will provide a meaningful contribution to all our service users.”
